David is the principal practitioner at the Stress Reduction Practice. He originally studied Life Sciences at University and was then professionally trained in Personnel at Shell and Sales at IBM before spending over 20 years successfully running and transforming businesses. In that time he has operated as a Chairman, CEO, Coach and Mentor helping individuals and teams achieve exceptional results often in stressful circumstances. He has worked in many environments and encountered many of life's challenges. He understands what it is like to succeed and to fail; he has experienced wonderful highs and almighty lows.

In 2008 David set up his own practice to support individuals on their life journey. He is an Executive Coach, holding a Practitioner Diploma with the Academy of Executive Coaching (AoEC) and a Master Practitioner and Coach of NLP (MPNLP). He is a member of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC).

He has a Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy (UK College of Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy) and is registered with the UK General Hypnotherapy Register holding their General Qualification in Hypnotherapy Practice (GQHP). 

David first began meditating over 40 years ago and is now an avid practitioner of mindfulness. He is a qualified 'Mindfulness Now' teacher (UK College of Mindfulness Meditation) - a technique which integrates key elements of both Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) programmes.

David believes strongly in the power of thinking mindfully and the in-built ability of individuals to achieve. He employs many techniques to enable his clients achieve their goals, reduce their levels of stress and overcome their anxieties and fears. He guides them in thinking through and making great decisions for themselves.

His approach is to work collaboratively with you to identify what your challenges are, create real measurable and achievable goals to overcome them, create a path to get you there and coach you on the journey to success.

David focuses on working with you to give you the coping skills you need to successfully navigate and take control of the inevitable challenges you will face, not just today but for whatever you might face in the future.

David is a great believer in using evidence-based techniques that have a strong scientific basis for their success so that his clients have a broad range of proven skills at their disposal to tackle every situation they might encounter.

David recognised throughout his career that every person is unique and, as such, everyone deserves to have available the skills that work for them in their own unique situation.

Over the past nine years David has worked with many individuals, from many different  backgrounds, helping them create the right way forward for themselves.


David is  registered with the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) which was set up by the government to protect the public setting the highest standards of conduct for its practitioners.
